(Ring, ring there's a phone call. When Sakura answers, she'll be greeted to some vague silence and shuffling sounds on the other end before a voice speaks quietly,)
.... H-hello? Pardon me but, i-is this Sakura?
(Sakura-san to be exact because she's perpatually polite to everyone she speaks to but let's not fuss over translations now. )
[ which i imagine is also said as sakura-san... alas, they continue to feel this whole shared name thing out.
anyway, there's some fumbling to be expected from her end, her voice at first sounding distant and muffled, then suddenly much too up close. listen, she's usually adept to learning new equipment, but the smart phone learning curve is no joke, and sometimes a girl forgets where the receiver is located. ]
It's been some time since we last spoke, so I was considering checking in on you myself, actually.
(She might have asked someone to help her make the call! And prepare for what to expect. Anxiety be like that sometimes.
Anyway, she doesn't mind waiting. They're both fumbling here! But that's fine because they're also both trying their best.)
Ah, yes... I suppose a lot has happened since then... I'm sorry.
(Really! She really sounds sorry.)
Forgive me, but d-do you remember the first time we spoke? (It was a little while ago so she can't blame her if it' s been forgotten. After all, there were so many other conversations going on! And surely they were more important than the one with her and all that.) You said i-if I could get a meeting, you'd like to come.
[ a short silence, not due to any lapse in memory on her part (if she remembers sakura in the first place, then it goes without saying that she remembers the circumstances under which they met), but because of the implications. ]
First of all, don't apologize. [ and then, because maybe that might have been too forceful, she tempers her frankness with: ] You've got no reason to. We've all been busy.
Second of all— [ her voice goes tight. ] I did, and I do still. If you've got a time and a place, I'll be there.
[ There's a day during one of the less...eventful weeks when Pyrrha decides to go grocery shopping. She figures she should make herself useful and help out her housemates by doing so. While she's not entirely sure about how much she has on her card, she hasn't spent much, so she can afford to have a fuller cart with her.
The next thing on her list is cereal. Dry cereal is good to have in case of an emergency, after all -- but there's a particular box of cereal that gives Pyrrha pause. It's a very, very long pause, at that.
She's just. Kinda dumbfounded, staring at this box of cereal, standing in the middle of the aisle. Sakura may find this very peculiar. ]
[ sakura finds this quite peculiar. enough to pause her own grocery shopping and linger a respectful distance away from pyrrha in that very same aisle, shifting her gaze back-and-forth between that very same box and the other girl. not sure if she should ask what's wrong or just mosey along.
eventually, her nosiness triumphs. ]
Um, excuse me? Sorry to bother, but is everything alright? You've been staring at this thing for a couple of minutes. [ like, five. ] And I was starting to wonder... [ a beat, then another question, asked as she picks up the cereal box. gives it a little shake. ] Do you know her or something?
[ does she even recognize the girl on the box as pyrrha??? against all odds, not really. ]
[ Ah, shoot, caught in the act of staring at a box of cereal like an idiot. Pyrrha rubs the back of her neck and gives Sakura a sheepish grin. That cereal mascot sure does look a whole lot like Pyrrha, too. ]
I'm sorry, I'm alright. I was just, er, surprised to see something like this here...
[ This is so embarrassing. She briefly glances at the Pumpmkin Pete's box again before looking back at Sakura. ]
[ with an unhurried wave of her hand, sakura brushes off each one of pyrrha's apologies, turning the box over and over until she finally spots its nutritional value. after roughing it that first week in a sea of junk food, it's probably a good idea to play things, um, healthy for the remainder of her stay here. ]
No, no. I was just concerned? You seemed really shocked for some reason. Was starting to wonder if this place had finally taken its toll on someone.
[There really wasn't much to do on this island, so Jun spent a lot of time at the house. As such, he's become pretty accustomed to the signs of life that came from Wu Xie and Leanne. The sound of their footsteps, the habits, the little noises they made.
After the fog went back to it's normal levels however, Jun began to notice another presence in the house at times. They wouldn't linger for long, only stopping by briefly before leaving again. It was curious, at least- but it didn't seem like they meant any harm.
This time, Jun was in the kitchen making some food for himself, when he sensed the presence again. Deciding to investigate this time, he'll poke his head out into the hallway.]
[ sakura stops halfway through the threshold of their shared bathroom, a waft of Minty Rain Forest Mist™ (yes, she'd somehow managed to find the same exact brand she and pakkun use at fruit's basket) following out after her, and stares at him, like a stray getting caught stealing a bite of some food that's been left out for it. then, trying to play things casual, she forces a laugh. combs back her matted down hair. ]
J— [ think quick sakura what was his name ] Jinta-san, was it?
Jun-san! That's what I meant. Hey. [ ... ] I was just on my way out.
[ casual. super casual.
oh, but what's the smell coming from the kitchen... oh my, is that... a distraction? despite not being able to see anything beyond the edge of the microwave from this angle, sakura cranes her neck. ]
Are you making something right now?

She's someone from where I come from. She might be of use in your medic network. She can hold her own in a fight, but she's not trained for it like myself and others. She's got a heal materia on her which might be helpful for everyone.
